Ground Zero Mosque Imam: “I’m a Loyal American, Just Look at my Voting Record,”… Records Show He Hasn’t Voted Since 2001, Not Even Registere

The leader of the Ground Zero mosque, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, yesterday said he’s a loyal American, and cited his voting record to prove it.

The only problem is that, according to Board of Elections records, Rauf hasn’t voted since 2001. In fact, New Jersey records show that he’s no longer registered in his home state, The Post has learned.

“I vote in elections, I pay taxes, I pledge allegiance to the flag, and I am a Giants fan — I am glad they won yesterday,” Rauf quipped during a speech to the Council on Foreign Relations yesterday.

But New Jersey records show that Rauf, once a registered Democrat, voted last in November, 2001, when Jim McGreevey was elected governor.

  • "I vote in elections, I pay taxes, I pledge More.. allegiance to the flag, and I am a Giants fan"

Rauf meant he votes regularly in the Al Qaeda Sexiest Goat Pageant, donates to the Bin Laden Cave Repair Fund, pledges allegiance to an inbred neanderthal named Mohammad, and is a huge fan of the Tora Bora Mountain Rats.

  • The Imam is not used to living in a society in which lies are easily exposed. A slow learner.

As for Muslims taking over in 50 years, what is more likely to happen is that the current generations' children and grandchildren will become loyal Americans who know they live in paradise.... at least as compared to their countries of origin.

  • Oh give it a rest. It's a community center with e bloody prayer room. So much for the constitution, and all that, I suppose, just to fill your jingoistic needs?

    • Another stupid and uninformed liberal Muzlim ball licker. Its not a constitutional argument and never has been. Did you just wake up? Its about having the common sense to move it down the road a mile or so out of RESPECT to the 3,000 people vaporized there. That's the argument, not whether Islam can build a mosque or not. There are hundreds in New York already.

      WTF dude??

    • Facts and truth are useless regarding issues of the week. It's easier for people to hate Muslims and believe that a "mosque" is going up in the ashes of Ground Zero because their media tells them that's what is happening. Strange how nobody talks about the prayer room on the 17th floor the South Tower.
