Four Kidnapped aid workers freed in afghanistan. Apologies as its just a link to bbc news website.

Quote from David Cameron: "But I think the most important message, is to terrorists all around the world, they should know, that if they take British Citizens as hostage, We do NOT pay ransoms, we do NOT trade prisoners they can expect a swift and brutal end and its important that this messeage goes out"

  • Sure, it's a repost, but in this case, that's OK.

I assume that was the SAS who did that. Good job. Respect.

  • 5 less Taliban, getting slaughtered in the early morning, is a glorious thing. Rescuing people trying to help other people not get sick, pretty good too.

    • @fotoman4u2 aye? where would you lot be without "do-gooders" AS YOU PUT IT. Do you say that to the the troops fighting front line? do you say it to the medics ,who, every day forfeit a lot of what life is to them to make time for others in need? must i go on ? you 2 need a rethink plan.....

    • @777 combat medics/troops are part of a complete mechanism and mission and dont fall into the above category bonny lad! these fucking charity cases have their heads up their arses half the time. we had to physically throw a red cross doo-gooder off the herc because the dumb bitch insisted on boarding with a generator full of fucking fuel!

no problems with them diving in there to do what they do but they need to sign away their rights at the airport and not expect to be rescued by assets that More..

    • @BillyBangcock You seem to also forget that, a vast majority of todays armed froces are volunteers, the same as the volunteers that do humanitarian efforts. Sad to say that you obviously have little respect for peole who volunteer for work knowing that at any stage it may cost them their lives. A volunteer is a volunteer, so if any volunteer reserve got themselves into a similar situation you would have little time for them? Or would it be different just because they are part of the "Forces More..

    • @777 the volunteers you speak of get paid and when they get called up they have their civvy wage packet matched so they aint too seen off. the idiot (she) trying to board the herc came from god knows where so didnt give a fk about what saftey brief they had had - we had 15 minutes to get airborne and get on with the job - not piss around holding the dumb cow's hand.

any more for any more ?

  • Well done guys! Plus...why do you people continue to go there and have to be rescued? I mean, let Afghanistan 'aid' themselves.

    • @fotoman4u2 the whole humanitarian thing would not work mate. We are not there purely to get rid of the Talib. there are, although it may seem strange to you, because ppl like you and i who just dont want that shit on their doorstep. and some of them have it on their doorstep mate. regardless of beliefs.

    • @fotoman4u2 also, if u r that tired of ur guys dying for you and your kind then show some Respect as these r the same guys who work tirelessly with native afghans to try to ensure we, as an invading nation, have some respect.
