Rommel the Hero. This Documentary is about Erwin Johannes Eugen Rommel most commonly known to us as the Desert Fox. Rommel is regarded as a chivalrous and humane officer because his Afrikakorps was never accused of any war crimes. He was used by the Reich as a propaganda piece at home touting his victories. He was later convicted in an assassination plot against Hitler. Due to his prestige he was allowed to Kill himself vs execution saving face. And allowing the regime to exploit him still.

Only about 5 years.
Got it from my Father who was in the Army.

Bayonet and scabbard have the same serial number

Also has the frog but the part of the strap with the latch button is missing.
The other half is still there.
Minor rust.
90% blueing still left on the blade.
