@ST0N3PONY there was a pair of these lions at the Gulf Breeze Zoo, a few years ago. Both of them were emaciated and had a putrid smell about them. It was hard to get near their enclosure. I haven't been back since that visit, so no idea what happened to them. it's nice to see these healthy and in the wild. come to think of it, they may have been tigers, not lions, but they were white like these. it's been about 15 years since I was there.

The sad thing is that a white lioness is going to have a MUCH harder time hunting since she won't blend into the background brush. A single white lioness is almost certainly going to starve but with a pride, they should survive. Of course, the young will be chased away as they get older and they are likely to starve or die in a fight.
