I don't really care if they eat the cats, it's compareable with muslims and jews not eating pigs. But it's the cruelty around the industry that is wrong. And of course in this case that it's stolen pets that is slaughtered.

Asian culture predominantly has no regard for animal life - animals are "machines" that exist for their amusement and consumption and any kind of suffering they inflict on the animals is of no concern to their psyches. Yea I know, and it's sick. I remember the chinese woman that was killing a cat by stomping it with her high heels. She was chocked by the reaction it created on the internet. I think that says something about the asian regard of animals.
But I didn't know about why they was torturing the animals before killing them. Adrenaline in the meat is supposed to make the meat taste bad as I have heard. Thanks for the info.

Its really puzzling to me that in this country we put down so many cats and dogs everyday but we don't export the meat overseas. Cats,dogs,pigs,sheep,cows. Meat is meat. You can't argue about eating an animal just because you give it a name, people bond with all kinds of different animals, most of the animals we look at in the zoo are eaten in other lands. Look at the conditions the animals are it. Those conditions would be illegal in most industrial countries even if those were cows, pigs, or sheep.
It's not just about the fact that they are cats. It's the absolute inhumane and unsanitary treatment of the animals. Many of them are skinned alive as well. There is a video I could show you of monkeys being skinned alive and tossed into a pile after they are skinned.

I'm simply drawing the line at the point where emptathy won't prevent me from EATING the cute fuzzy ones.
Just build a better cat/dog-farm, if need to. something free-range if you must.

i had a friend of mine buy a cheap parka from china off of ebay. she was really stoked when she got it because it was super cheap and brand knew and honestly it looked nice. then i showed her vids like this and others about how the fur is from some weird animal. she doesn't wear the jacket anymore.

No, not really, because that's not the extent of what they do (or don't do) with the animals. There are pretty much zero animal rights laws in China and Asia in general, so there is no regulation on humane slaughter. As a consequence of this and traditional beliefs, animals consumed in China are often brutalized and tortured extensively before consumption.
To me this reeks of inhumanity and lack of empathy that I can't comprehend as both a human being and a westerner.
