    • @hushver You live in a fantasyworld. They torture people like crazy, they carve their heads off, they murder innocent people. Do you really think they are NOT the ones who have been killing children in Syria? They seem to always be there when it happens. AT any rate they use them as human shields.

Assad murdered 15k before the FSA formed (from assad soldiers who refused to fire on peaceful protestors) and fought back.

    • @hushver I suppose you haven't seen any of the FSA execution videos where they shoot/behead/lynch someone they accuse of being a "Shahib" - and we are supposed to take their word because they are the "good guys".

    • @sakb yes i have and its justice at war you cant keep prisoners in a 5 star hotel in the middle of a civil war the path is clear and they can tell right from wrong and right now killing human beings for money doesn't look good in a human life

  • I posted about this a day ago.

The prisoner's name is Abu Helal.

In this case it was an unwitting version of proxy bombing. Other versions have the victim chained to the vehicle matched with threats against their family if they don't comply.

  • This in my opinion proves to me that the "rebels" are just a bunch of thugs trying to gain Islamic rule in yet another middle eastern country...

  • There are changes in reporting patterns. The FSA crimes have been going for a long time but some media are changing the emphasis and reporting them.

  • Is it safe to say that the captured fellow made it to the checkpoint and escaped? You'd think Assad's propaganda machine would be exploiting this one.
Seems a bit fishy, I am not saying this doesnt happen as it was a commonly used tactic in Iraq, some suicide drivers were chained and cuffed to the steering wheel and forced to drive the cars into checkpoints etc.

No one seems to be outraged at the terrorist in Iraq...I guess they were too busy hating on the USA and coalition to ever notice any More..

    • @SpeckFettGulag Plenty of people thought the terrorist tactics in Iraq were distasteful, just as they thought the U.S response was excessive. You are really going out of your way to justify that terrorism is good as long as it is our "friends" that are committing those acts.

    • @sakb
In recent years, the Assad regime provided safe haven and direct support to foreign fighters, including militants allied with al-Qaeda, who transited through Syria to kill American troops in Iraq.
The Assad clan made a specialty of helping kill Americans in Iraq, while also threatening and often murdering any Lebanese leader who objected to Syrian domination. It is Iran’s only Arab ally, and the armorer of Hezbollah.... There can be no doubt that the demise of the Assad regime is go More..

You are so behind the times. This is big news in Syria. Try and keep up with the news rather than what you read in USA Today.
