The guys is about to get crushed and they let the kid stand in the line of a possible body explosion. Then when he suggests to call an ambulance, the answer? Nah...effin halarious
Looks like he's trying to hitch an antique engine to an old but more modern passenger car, the former of which is not equipped with an automatic coupler. He's also careless and stupid to be standing in that position.
Another idiot destined to be eliminated from the gene pool one day ... but unfortunately, he has probably already creted many more little dumb progressives like him!
I assume that is a normal part of the protocol of coupling cars together. You'd have to be a complete knucklehead to stand there if that wasnt normal. And if its normal, I dont understand what the problem was. It should have been enough clearance for him. I dont really get what happened here.

It is NOT normal. Don't know about Aussie laws, but since about 1915 all U.S. rolling stock was required to have automatic couplers and external cutting levers so that cars can be hitched and unhitched without ever having to go in between the cars. Older equipment would be required to be retrofitted to operate in the U.S. Literally thousands of railroad workers in the U.S. prior to that time were killed doing exactly what that man was doing.

he wouldnt explode, i used to work at a train yard and that happened to one of my dear friends. the train squished him between another and he just stood there having difficuly breathing. we put a blanket over him and his family was able to come and say goodbye. the emergency crews knew he didnt have a chance so they just sperated the cars. all of his insides just fell to the ground, i quit that job the same day
