  • Scud Missles haha! So, 1987. I wonder if they had Danger Zone playing in the tape deck of the truck?

    • @Ax7 And? The missiles dont have to be able to play the latest PC games. Russia had ICBMs that could turn New York into a field of molten rock and metal that glows in the dark 20 years before SCUDS were invented. Why would they be any less dangerous today?

    • @ronaldo_popkings I can't figure out the reasoning that old weapons are not dangerous.

    • @nutsflipped If a group of soldiers with Winchester long rifles from the civil war released a video of their ability to pack their muskets and fire them straight would you feel intimidated? Yes a civil war stocked regiment would have weapons, and weapons have the potential to wage war. However when the technology being used is this antiquated, Western forces would drop one modern day artillery shrapnel bomb that explodes before hitting the gound and shoots pellets of molten medal in any directio More..

    • @Ax7 btw that wasn't aimed at you, you know what I'm saying. Oh and as far as Russia, they are a joke. They talk a big game but the only person in that country who is unreasonable is the guy at the top (who everyone hates) and a bunch of former pollet bureau former soviets who are literally all 80 years old. The standard of living in Russia is currently less than it was in 1991 pre-collapse. The people are being oppressed because apparently the government didn't learn anything the last time the More..

    • @Ax7 You are just reading from the brochure, but during war, things on the ground are different. For example, during desert storm, USA could not find the launchers.

  • the russians make alot of things, but they dont make stupid weapons. they sell them to stupid users. the scud a mid range offensive strike missile, its meant for known troop locations, cities etc, in dessert shield and storm, they were very effective because as they come in the delivery vehicle breaks up as its coming to the target, the patriot anti missile system shot down components of the scud but historians (american) now tell that the shoot down rate was as low as 8%. the us army did not pub More..

    • @xerodfx So nothing could possibly go wrong for potential invaders? If they try, Syria will be their death bed.

    • @C-A-T-000p With out dated russian weapons? Why would anyone invade when they can rain fire from the sky with unmanned drones?

      Posted Jul-11-2012 By

      (-1) | Report

    • @xerodfx Just like in Iraq? They could win a war in 3 weeks? Not even 3 years was enough in Iraq, not even 30 years will be enough to see the country out of the mess. The propaganda about a shock and awe campaign is exactly that, just propaganda not reality. They undertand that so much could go wrong with an attack on Syria, internally and regionally. That is why they are trying to overthrow the Syrian government using terrorism. Drones are specialised and even weaker and don't win anything.

    • @xerodfx like your RQ-170? drones are good with goat herders. The pantsir-s1 can knock out all drones.

    • @C-A-T-000p lol. The shit that will destroy these old outdated weapons will be shit that NATO has kept under wraps. Every new war brings new toys for NATO to play with. No conventional military stand a chance of protecting itself from stealth bombers sent care of the USA.lol

  • Gotta keep those trucks from getting flattened first. Lol any NATO ship can hit every single one before they realize that they are being attacked. It'll look like the Iraq highway off death.....but all over Syria.their jets would fall prey to jets that they can't see or find...lol

  • Most countries around have Patriot ABM systems so beside being used against civilians what are those junks supposed to do ?

    Posted Jul-12-2012 By

    (-1) | Report

    • @Othman How many patriots, a 100? We have 50,000 scuds. Good luck shooting them all. These will be used on NATO bases and Airfield in the first hours of the war. Saturation bombing will defeat all counter measures and compensate for any lack of accuracy from the missiles. Within the first hour of war NATO aircrafts will be incapable to hunt these launchers because Syrian air defense will still be operational.

LMAO. Dude, you are confusing the number of Syrian scuds, with the number of Hezbollah homemades in Lebanon.

Syria doesn't even have 1000 scuds, let alone 50,000. Your Scuds can't even reach our strike platforms, much less have accurate enough guidance to hit them. Please do just a tiny bit of research.

  • US satellites can spot the launchers from space and ships 1000 miles away can throw a cruise missile at them and knock them out. Child's play!

  • With their guidance systems they should be able to in an area 1,000 mile wide by 500 miles. Inshallah
