The "Like a fighter jet" comment put it in a new perspective for me. One of my dad's old buddies flew on it several times. He said it was hot, noise and not much space, but it sure was fast.
I'd have a little more to say about her, but she was a ride I just couldn't foot the bill for. I had to stick to the local whoreplanes, they got me off just fine, but I wanted to taste that plane just once...
I'm not trying to talk shit, but even a 707 can be barrel rolled. It's a 1 G maneuver that virtually any airplane can do as long as there is a decent pilot in the seat.

i wish they would man. I mean this thing was made in the 50's and had more or less a 100% safety record. That paris crash was the only one ever to concorde.
I would have just upgraded her instruments / sytems to todays standards

i reckon the french designed the shape, if we had it would probably have a nose shaped like a manatee.

Can't believe they don't fly those anymore. All they have to do is make sure there's no crap on the runway when they take off.

In fact, those were Russians who designed it.
That's why their Tu-144 was the first to fly.
Concorde took off for the first time only 2 months later.
But the French were 100% the ones who downed both of them.
