@Azzhole its not that it isnt very smart. but the m2 barrel is designed to take extreme amounts of heat and still function. so just because it gets that hot it doesnt damage it. we were well within regs for rounds per hour

No its 200 rds in 2 min is a hot gun. Fuck the barrel you'll get a cook off/run away gun or maybe even a catastrophic malfunction. I've seen what miss treated M2's do to people. Either way its no way to train and your RSO's should know better.

@SupremeWhiteRace oh most definitely. the m2 can even be used as an indirect fire weapon and shoot over hills to take out target, we also use tungstun tip round that are armour piercing. and in a machine gun team there is a spotter which provides ammo and spots targets for the gunner. with all the smoke and dust and such it can make it hard to see if you are on target sitting directly behind the weapon
