Obama
Romney presidential debate 2012: The first of three matchups between
Barack Obama and Mitt Romney was held in Colorado last night. Romney
handily trounced his opponent on the issues of jobs, the economy and
taxes. To Obama's Democratic supporters, it looked as thought the
president didn't even want to be there.
Moderator Jim Lehrer
struggled to do his job. Romney said he would cut subsidies to PBS,
though he said he liked Big Bird and liked Jim Lehrer, too.

Obama is a global laughing stock. He's getting phone calls from people all over the world asking 'What's Mitt's favorite color?'

@absyniancat The Canadians I know think Obama is a decent man. His policies are what matter, not a single TV debate.

@thebigniv Absyniancat said that Obama was a global laughing stock. I was disputing that statement. Do I really have to explain the obvious?

Romney simply pointed out the litany of Obama's domestic policy failures. Obama's only possible response was to look down and mention some ideological point supported by the same old empty rhetoric we've heard for 4 years. Many commentators are taking the position Obama was not prepared. Actually, Obama was at his peak. He's been making the exact same arguments for 4 years, knows no others, and has never been specific, ever. He was elected on the hopes of voters who projected their beliefs More..

Mitt clobbers Hussein. OK. Does that mean black people or anyone won't vote for Mr. Hussein?
How long following vote-day does it take to get the results - any Americans here?

Obama failed in giving a good debate. Made it even easier for Mitt.
After seeing this debate, Mitt has changed a few of his views (or plans) compared to his earlier testaments. I wonder if he'll do that as president, if elected. Can he fulfill what he wants with the outcome he wants.
Mitt appears to me somewhat more moderate, not leaning to the 'right' as much.

@808Hi_life Agreed. He puts too much of his own personal agenda into his policies and he knows it. He can lie to us but he can't lie to himself.
