Islamophobophobia: Politically Correct Persecution

For some reason, when people hear the violent teachings of the Qur'an and the Hadith, they do all kinds of intellectual gymnastics to justify the teachings, e.g. "You don't understand the context," or "It was the seventh century, you know," or "You're being a racist."

But what would happen if the same words we find in the Muslim sources were uttered by non-Muslims? Suddenly, the violent, intolerant implications would be clear to everyone. Why, then, are these calls for violence only acceptable when found in the Islamic sources?

    • @StopTheCancer Agree 100%. Christians, Jews and Muslims LOVE to point out how the other is wrong and their religion advocates violence, but the truth is they are all cut from the same stone. Mohammed and Jesus can blow each other on the deck of Noah's Ark for all I care, but it still pisses me off to no end when I hear representatives of any side try to play the "my religion is better than yours" game. They're all equally fucked, in my opinion.

Yes, the God of the Bible commanded violence (and so has virtually every leader in world history!). But if you don't see the difference between the Bible and the Qur'an, you're just being silly.

Here's the difference. The Qur'an commands Muslims in general to commit violence against non-Muslims (e.g. "Fight those who do not believe in Allah . . ."). If the Bible is the same, please give me a clear command, directed to Christians in general (i.e. something that would ap More..

I was talking about what Islam commands, not what Muslims do. I didn't know we were talking about people (instead of ideologies). If we were talking about people, I'd have to reject whatever you follow. You're thoroughly inconsistent. You say Christians are quick to judge and condemn, yet I've seen nothing from you other than judging and condemning. You're one of those people filled with nothing but hate, who runs around accusing everyone else of being filled with hate. And you d More..

  • I think the Islamic quote that has the most relevance here is "I kill you!"

  • its easy to paint people all the same. But if you try to understand with an open mind, you well realize muzzies love jesus to. They arent allowed to murder people, and cant forcefully convert people, and they see it as a person being blessed if they convert on there on will. The majority i know for a fact are just cheer leading, net picking, paint all people with same brush. This is not a popular answer, but most people are so ashamed of what people think of them there even scared to tell the tr More..

  • the problem is you quote one verse from a chapter and not the verses right before or right after that always disprove the "hate" verses. its funny how ppl try and leave that little fact out. but to them and the ppl who believe them if you are that gullible that you think you understand that one sentence from a chapter. i bet you couldnt read a sentence from a chapter in your school book then go to school the next day and try and understand what is going on. sad to see so many gulli More..

    • @OnlyLiarsBlock I'm calling your bluff. I quoted Surah 9:29 of the Qur'an. Tell me which verses that come before it or after it turn it into a peaceful verse. (Hint: The verses that come before it and after it only make it worse!)

bluff called. if you start at the beginning of this chapter talks about peace treaties with non muslims even here in
9:4 - Excepted are those with whom you made a treaty among the polytheists and then they have not been deficient toward you in anything or supported anyone against you; so complete for them their treaty until their term [has ended]. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous [who fear Him].

so if people who are non muslim want peace you must give them a peace treaty. More..
