The mysteroius 5th floor discovered at the Yangakdo Hotel

The elevator has no 5th floor... If you are courageous, go there
and see a different reality of North Korean daily life. Floors 44 and
44 are also "private" but they did not succeed to get there.

here are managed the special tv-program for the hotel and also the
secret intercept bureau for spying out conversations in the hotelrooms
and almost everywhere else in the hotel with the help of bugs.

That was recorded by a german tourist group.

  • They should have numbered 6 and all other higher numbers a number down to make a 5th floor appear but not have it actually be the 5th floor but the 6th. You cannot tell which floor you are on when you are in the building. By skipping the number you only draw attention to that floor.

  • They show the picture of a building and then claim to have figured out how to get into this "secret" floor.

If this were actually some sort of spying apparatus like they say, how did they gt out without being arrested?

All we really know is there was a photo of a building none of us could ever identify, a elevator with a "missing" floor and video of the door opening on the lost floor.

Nothing verifiable or real about it.

    Fake, until otherwise proven real.

Sometimes when I get to a page all it has is the add comment button, and when I enter something I find there are several comments already.

    • @Arti2Ne1 "5th floor do not exist"=is not supposed to exist for foreigners, so prosecute tourists would admit its existence by the government.
My bad, i would have thought people would understand this turn of phrase based on paranoid humor .

Thanks for the link. Good to read the backstory. And the photos are much clearer. Those signs look like fluorescent-colored hippy posters right out of the 1960's.

    • @joe prole I like back-stories too, anyway; for the colors i have an hypothesis, virtually everything is gray in Pyongyang, except a few colors on the ornaments and posters, this may be the way they mark the spirits unconsciously by the colored footprints.

I have a marketing background, and its well know fluorescent colors appeal to 18-25 years old (as the younger are always the future of a country).
And the lowest incomes like the bright colors.
