Union ‘Progress’ Could Mean Ohio’s Bankruptcy

by Jason Hart Ohio’s government unions claim to represent simple, positive principles. Good jobs. Workers’ rights. Progress. The reforms in Issue 2 were voted down because union bosses warned dramatically, expensively, and dishonestly how dark Ohio would be with elected officials controlling local governments. If voters realized union power leads to higher taxes, they may not have been as quick to torpedo reform.

  • Unions and government mandated socialism are destroying our economy. Soon black markets may will begin to flourish, as seen in communist bloc countries. Poland is a great example of black marketing. Also, bribery is a standard practice in socialist and communist governments.

  • Not even FDR thought the public sector unions were a good idea...and he was right. When public unions and government officials they HELP ELECT sit down to "negotiate", there's no one there representing the interests of the taxpayer.

    Roosevelt knew that, and said that it should never happen.

    Now, these unions are deeply entrenched, and engaged in a money laundering scheme with the Democrats that they get elected.

  • That just means the local governments are going to be fucked. They won't have enough revenue to pay their public employees. Their victory was short-sighted. This union problem will be addressed very soon.
