The US trained and equipped many units of Saleh's loyalists to fight against terror. But Saleh withdrew his loyal forces from the southern governates and sent them to fight against anti-government democracy protesters in the northern governates including Taiz city (this video), Sanaa, and Arhab. The anti-terror war machine spins wildly out of control as the crazed dictator makes his last mad stand. Silently watched in horror by big names.

UPDATE: An admission from the British Embassy Military Attache in Yemen, during a meeting with the most senior government authority in Aden city, Abdul-Karim Shaif, on November 21st, 2011, the military attache was recorded as saying to the latter "you are behind the explosions and assassinations, it is you who brought the terrorism and made it grow in Aden and its environs, and we know that well" (translation from Arabic source http://aden-online.net/news/2083.htm ).
