People driving over it are stupid, drivers wont be able to tell the exact location of the fire nor the impact location of the truck, the truck could have struck the first bridge and flamed under the second one. Also, drving over such bridges is a major hazard, not to mention breathing in that smoke.

Because four wheelers are idiots who do not stop and think of what they are doing. They simply want to get where they are going and they generally do not give a shit about other people.

yeah but they dont know it has already blown up. Ive seen cars on fire like that with black smoke pouring out that havn't at that point 'blown' up. Anyhow, i'm no expert but im guessing there can be secondary explosions too, dunno...

I had to drive around this today...what a bunch of crap, they have to tear the southbound bridge down (3 lanes) and completely rebuild it. Gonna cause some major headaches.

The smoke was ridiculous. I heard it on the news and went out and sure enough, I could see the smoke from my apartment 20 miles away.

I agree, they were stupid to drive over that. An overpass in Oakland collapsed last year due to a tanker fire under it. Same thing could have happened here, at any time.
That tornado of fire at 0:34 was impressive.

That big of a fire under a bridge like that can cause some serious structural damage. Plus the smoke is probably quite toxic.
