    • @boofhead Yeah who needs affordable education. We've already fucked one generation, why not another. A few more generations denied higher education and decent jobs we'll be on par with any third world dictatorship. Sweet.

    • @boofhead First off it's an INCREASE of $1,600 on top of what the tuition is already....and since you live in another country on the other side of the world....you really have no insight as to what goes on elsewhere...so just STFU

    • @boofhead Valid point, but factor in this is just the result of an ideology which will keep raising fee's till only the rich can afford to go. Like the old parable of boiling a frog. IMHO.

  • Retardation at its finest.

The fun thing is... they did all this to try to overthrow the government (NOT because of tuition fees like they claimed), yet all their rioting made the gov stronger with more popular support. Fail.

In Quebec, we DO negotiate with terrorists...

    • @GradySizematters Liberal party was having its meeting in Montreal; but because of the student protests, they moved to a small down in the middle of nowhere. Student leaders encouraged people to go there to protests. After less than a minute, the protest was declared illegal because people were throwing pavement and pool balls to the cops. Cops threw gas to make protesters leave, but they didn't...

Whole thing lasted like 1.5 hours. 110 arrests, 7 people hurt (or similar). They arrested entire More..

    • @lethe Thanks for filling us in. No wonder that the protest was declared illegal. protest <> riot.

  • Quebec cops are notoriously heavy handed, their law system is slightly different than the rest of Canada and the cops have a free'r hand. You can only beat so many people bloody out of a crowd like that before they start beating back. Personally I have no opinion, dont know what their panties are in a knot for..

  • Why the hell aren't they shooting these assholes?....

If they are wearing ski-masks and throwing rocks, they are not protesters, they are Anarchist.
Shoot them where you find them!

    • @gavelwacker ...Seriously ..Do you think that would make the protesters go away or maybe come back with moletoves and guns.
Reasonable societies do not shoot their own citizens when they protest.

    • @gavelwacker The day the Canadian government opens fire into a crowd of citizens your gonna see this country light up like a roman candle. RCMP knows this, its a balancing act.
