It's called defensive driving. But it seems he rather take chances rather than slow down when someone is passing him illegaly and there is a potential danger coming on the turn. I rather slow down than end up off road or in a crash. You won't be able to retaliate if this idiot causes a crash where you die even if you were right and he was wrong.
