Had the Germans not been bogged down with helping their weak Italian friends in Greece and the Luftwaffe engaged out West Russia would have been wiped off the map in 41’. Barbarossa was delayed for several months because of the incompetent Italians who hindered Germany as an ally.
Thankfully for the Russians Hitler was a bumbling tactician who sabotaged any German advance with multiple objective changes and idiotic delusional goals for his Wehrmacht.

And you need to think twice when you planning advance trough 700 km of totally off-road shit, when its just a 5 months prior to -30 winter and you have NO equipment and gear for this conditions. Its no damn France with fresh bread and good wine on every corner.
