Citizens of the Philippines, a new law has enacted and this will be effective on the third of October. The Cybercrime law is a threat to every internet users. Everyone can be put behind the bars by sharing, posting, liking any post which is against the government. The E-Martial law is a big threat to the masses who wants real change. New technologies give us new opportunities to connect with a lot of people not only in this country but all over the world.
They can also provide us with a medium through which our political, public and even private views can have an immediate and direct impact on individuals, communities and even countries. It is just so disappointing that our government, in adopting our 80-year-old antiquated libel laws
to the Cybercrime Law, again seems to have retarded our march with the rest of the world with respect to giving full force to the people's freedom of expression.
We ask for a revision of the said bill for the betterment of the Filipino denizens. We, Anonymous, wanted everyone to support our crusade against this threat. A Cyber Revolution is what we need; a revolution that will cause them to revised the said act. Let's protect our Right to Freedom of Expression! And never be afraid of the government because we are the government who elected them!
We are Filipinos, we are Legion, and we are Anonymous.
