I've seen a few old trucks redone like that while driving around the back roads and small towns of this country. My "favorite" was one that I saw with an MG midget body on a Toyota 4X4.

1969 Chevelle SS 427 body on a Chevy P/U frame?

No. It's a 1969 Chevelle, but not a Super Sport, nor a 427. Here's why. All 1968 and 1969 Super Sports had 396's. A few rare ones did indeed have 427's (COPO) but they are exceedingly rare and even in the condition of this one could be worth a surprising amount. Anyway, the original engine in this car was a 400 passenger engine, not a HiPo. You can read the numbers on the front fender, which wouldn't be there on an SS. Stock V8 was either a 307 or a 350 small block not a 400. I had several 69 Chevelles....
