Some buried family drama is coming to the surface regarding June, the mother of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star Alana, the diva-tastic beauty pageant participant.

Since June is fully open about supplying Alana, also known as Honey Boo Boo (Chiiiiiil’), with a “special juice” mixture of Mountain Dew and Red Bull before pageants to give her a special sparkle (also known as childhood diabetes), some concern on the part of child services doesn’t come as much of a surprise.

Recently Alana, who is 6, was seen on the show eating “nearly expired junk food and road kill.” While the family proudly proclaims their Redneck heritage, I would think that the money they’re being supplied as stars of the reality show would probably have allowed for a quick trip to the grocery store. June is, after all, the “Coupon Queen,” and probably doesn’t need to scrape dead critters off the road for sustenance.

In March, child services visited the family, concerned by what they were seeing.

“Investigators were called to the home as a result of June and Mr. Thompson’s unorthodox parenting methods, which include feeding Alana caffeinated drinks as well as roadkill for dinner.”

June’s lawyers were successful in getting the case dismissed. Guess maybe that’s where all the grocery money has been going.



Lately a mug shot has also been released, bringing to light previous arrests for “theft” and “contempt of court,” which reportedly is from a 2008 issue of June not paying child support.

June encourages her belly-baring toddler to sass, dance seductively, and keeps her on a basic diet of sugar on the show, all despite Alana’s original “Toddlers and Tiaras” admission that “Beauty is so boring, I don’t wanna do it.”

Sigh.
