HATERS! lol I recorded this a few years back, yes I was driving and recording but not the way you think...I was using a canon sd camera (not a phone) and wasn't looking through the viewfinder or the screen, I just moved my arm when I was passing the car while the cam was recording... and no, this isn't staged, the other car has NY plates..I'm from CT

Always good to see LL'ers posting stuff of their own.
I had to do this same thing once on a far less busy road. Hood latch was busted, so driving over 40mph made it flip back up. I just propped it up like this guy did, then drove it to the shop. Problem with letting it back down is that if you screw up, and go fast enough to make it come back up? Then the momentum makes for extra damage.
What this guy is doing is not nearly as dangerous as people think. Illegal? probably. But whatever. for s More..

You are right. I did limp. However, if I could've gone faster, I would have. When this shit happens it's quite the balancing act:
1. Must not move too fast (wind pushes on bonnet)
2. Can't move too slow (must not be spotted by the coppers)
