Chubby's variety store was robbed around 10 :40 P.M. this evening. The robber
took off on foot, and possibly lost his sneakers a few feet from the store on
Killam Drive. Codiac R.C.M.P. Officers were arriving on scene and coming from
all sides , setting up Perimeter with Police on Waverly , Killam, Colishaw, Noel
, K-9 unit was brought in and searched around the area for quite some time.
People standing across the street were trying to tell Police they might have
seen something as they were told to stand back , as the Officer didn't want to
ruin in scent for the dog. The male got away with a undisclosed amount of money.
Nobody was injured during the robbery. Other Officers arrived on scene after
perimeter was broke off.
