    • @Peak he was born in austria, but he became a german on february the 25. in 1932. i think he renounced on the austrian citizenship because he was wanted for not joining the army in the first world war.

      He wanted to run for the president of the Reich -election. That's why he was in need of the German citizenship. He applied years earlier but did not get it through before 1932.

      ..and he participated in the first world war as a volunteer. So your second statement is not completly true.

      Actually it did not. Hitler came to power in Germany in 1933. Austria was more or less forcibly integrated into the Reich in 1938, five years later.

      ...so no insults needed here... and no blaming the austrians. Assholes and crazy people are born in every country...
