Father claims that he chains his 27 year old son because he is afraid for his safety. He has asked local authorities for help but was denied help for his son. His father says that his son is chained so he doesn't run into traffic, get in fights with local children and not to wonder away from home. They both live on $50 a month. Risto Stamenov the director of the local office for Social Assistance which previously refused to help out the boy and his father now hopes that the case will be resolved as soon as possible, but it is obvious that the office of Social Assistance is only getting involved because of the media attention this case has brought them.
