I hope some day, a politician will give a speech and everyone in the crowd just turns their back and just quietly stand there. Then they will have lost all their power over us.

Ohhhh how the few control the many.
The people are the power, the mob is power. People need to stop being divided, and stand up against the few.

All people wants to do is earn an honest wage and living and the greedy rich want it all for themselves, you expect ppl not to act this way when they can no longer feed themselves and there family and are about to be tossed into the street! IT'S A NO BRAINER BUT THE RICH ARE TOO STUPID TO KNOW THAT!. GREED KNOWS NO BOUNDARIES!.

@fotoman4u2 the reason people are pissed off is the people who caused the problems are the rich wankers that have actually got richer in the recession and left the normal people to pay via austerity for public services. if the system was fair austerity wouldn't even be required.

As I understand it Spain was one of the few EU countries that was hitting borrowing targets before the crash in 2008. The combination of an over exposed banking sector and a collapse in the building boom have crippled the country. Even as it stands Spain still has government debt levels below many other European countries. They are protesting as their country has been screwed by something that they have had no impact on and they are now paying the price.
