      Correct. The EU was a bad Idea from the Start. One of the amazing things about Europe was it's individuality. Each Countries own self interest and sovereignty.Having both lived and worked in Europe it was always cool when traveling through each country and having to stop at the borders.Color me nostalgic, but that's pretty damn cool. A kind of "You're in our country now. Welcome."

      Well, it has been precisely those frontiers that have caused the endless wars we Europeans have being fighting against each other for centuries.

      I feel much better and enjoy even more being able to travel from Spain to France without any stop from policemen to check my passport and being able to pay for a coffee in Paris, Bastogne, Cologne or Brussels with the same currency.

      Those guys there are not socialists. They just want jobs and protest because they (we) are taking the brunt of this crisis which was not caused by us, but by the greedy economic elite (banks, etc.)

      And they are precisely protesting against their politicians, who have been only taking measures to favor the 'markets' and the economic power, not the people.
