I've had the privilege of watching the new WTC rise in the skies over NYC for the last year while building a new boiler at a refinery in NJ. It was an amazing thing to witness. RIP to all who were lost on 9/11, and my best wishes to those who are still fighting illnesses from their rescue efforts.

The spotlights are to show the towers that fell, however...
There are only two spotlights, yet three buildings fell.
If you ask people on the street, the majority only seem to know that 2 buildings came down.

Ive watched alot of programs lately about this. Its still hard to believe. The horror the people must've felt. The sorrow from the ones that lost their loved ones as they watch on tv how the towers collapse, knowing the people they loved where inside. RIP and never forget!

Personally I think they should have rebuilt the WTC brick for brick...that would have been the best statement
Also it was a special building; the materials they used are very 60's/70's and looked great...I'm afraid the glass thing they're building looks very generic and can be seen from Dubai to Hong Kong to Singapore amongs the thousands of sky scrapers going up these days...won't do justice to the original

Agreed on the generic architecture of the new WTC. But rebuilding the old is a bit cheesy. No bricks where used in the Twin Towers btw. The aluminum cladding was nice, goldish in the sun.
