More power to these guys. We may be watching history, if the military doesn't drop the hammer on it's own people..

The Basij should be ashamed of themselves, firing on their own people. They are a tool of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and strong arm the indoctrination of their brothers and sisters. I hope these protests continue until the true voice of the people of Iran is heard. The price of the few is worth the benefit of the many.

You can say what you want, but if *I* was in that building and they were going to burn it down with me inside it, I'd be shooting back too.
You? You'd just willingly die for your people, burned to a crisp by some protesters. How noble of you.

jesus christ people, can you just keep your damn political agenda for yourself once. This is about Iran, not about 2nd amendment NRA slogans, Obama or the US elections.

I think he was making the point that if Iranian people had the right to bare arms that they would have a lot more ability to affect change. It's tough to have a real revolution if not armed. You can see in this video that people are being shot at and have no way to return fire. Typically that's why oppressive regimes have gun control.

No, that would fully escalate the situation giving the governmental forces the legitimisation to open fire on the students. Unarmed protests such as this have brought down the Berlin wall and given souvereinity back to many Eastern european countries.

I is too bad that there is no real organization to these protests and because of this, sadly, they are probably doomed to fail. Without organization, the only hope is for their numbers to grow, exponentially.

Their President laughthingly told the Russian president that in a week or so the protesters will fade away. In 3 weeks they will be forgoten and he will be able to get on with running the country and punish those who dared rise up against his people.
Maybe that is how it will go, I mean, who talks about the sacked bankers who get massive pentions?

Its clear that a lot of people on ll mostly americans review their vision on Iranian people. Indoctrinated by their ex government. (usually you see things like kill all those mujis and sheepfokkers) good to see that some LOOOSERSS finally open their eyes!

the funny thing is though, all the Haji's and enemies of the west, free society, etc, the ones we all joke about on LL are shocked this is happening, they love the doctator 'Ahmedinajad', and they are strangely silent, he was their leader of bigoted ideas and islamofascist ideology... of course we have no problem with the Iranian people....
