Sometimes when you're Fishing strange things Happen!

Donna Chen was walking her dog Barney along State Road 758 in Sarasota when she was struck and killed by a drunk driver.

Barney, injured in the incident, took off, and ended up in the Gulf
of Mexico. There, he was found and rescued by a kayaker who happened to
be filming his fishing expedition at the time.
The video was uploaded to YouTube by the kayaker, who says the dog is
now back with his family. “I imagine they need him pretty bad right
now,” he writes in the video’s description.

  • Awwww, poor dog... poor woman too. I hate drunk drivers and I have a DUI. I deserved to die, could have killed someone too because of my selfishness. I'm truly disgusted with myself for that and will not EVER do that again.

  • I hope the guy keeps the dog. If that isn't a sign I don't know what is. They belong together now. What an amazing story. Bless the guy for reacting so humanely, with a lot of caring.

  • Donna Chen, 53, of Sarasota died.

Investigators say 22-year-old Blake Talman of Bradenton was driving a 2000 Nissan Altima, trying to get away from another car accident he was involved in, when he hit Chen.

Troopers say after the first accident, Talman slammed into a metal pole, hit Chen, then hit a street sign. They say he then slammed into a Ford Escort that 18-year-old Ashley Mullins was stopped in near the driveway to St. Michael's Archangel Catholic church. The impact, they say, caused Ta More..

  • Pretty sharp contrast to the piece of shit who put the firecracker in the dogs mouth. I can only hope that the the firecracker asshole suffers from just as bad a fate from prison justice. I hope the fucker is thrown off a tier or beating with a sock full of padlocks.

    • @mlloyd Everyone says that, but no-one actually tracks these people down and does anything about it.

We need vigilantes to start visiting animal abusers. Vigilantes with crowbars and bats.

    • @hellgremlin It wouldn't be all that hard to fix that pile of shit. It isn't hard to find out what prison he goes to and it wouldn't be hard at all to locate "friends" of people incarcerated in the same prison. Some money on some books, THE RIHGT BOOKS, will pretty much insure that the scum bag learns a valuable lesson.

  • Interesting kayak there. And nice contrast to that sickening vid about the German Shepherd with its jaw blown off. Absolutely refuse to watch that one.

    • @Entartete i just checked that out and i have a shepherd. if that was my shepherd i would not be able to die unless the culprit was tied up, watched his entire extended and nuclear family gutted alive, skinned alive, or burned alive, then had his balls cut off by a butter knife, skin his face, make him drink his mother's blood, let a pack of pitbulls tear his body apart then proceed to put an M-80 in his mouth if it remains. dogs, especially german shepherds are precious creatures. thank you fo More..
