  • To be honest this really isn't bad at all. Not like in previous videos where they're basically torturing the animals. All they've done is behead them and they're still moving due to nerves. Worse things happen in abbatoirs in the UK/US where sometimes animals get skinned alive due to various cock ups.

  • Now here's where I get really controversial. To all of you complaining about this inhumane conduct - beheading, dismemberment, a living creature's natural rebellion against its life's destruction - when it's done inside a woman, it's called abortion.     • @neshobanakni - 88% of all abortions take place in the first trimester and over 50% in the first 8 weeks. At 8 weeks a fetus is 1/2" long; at 12 weeks it's 2.5 inches. During the first trimester the fetus cannot live outside the mother's body (what we call being human, for no one on this forum still requires a womb). For an adult to terminate a pregnancy is a very difficult decision, based upon a complex set of issues.

  • With many reptile and fish species for a fair while after death when you make an incision it can partially or fully cause an action potential whereby a nerve essentially works. I remember the first time I witnessed this dissecting a snake that had died a good 6 hours prior to dissection yet the flesh was wriggling after I cut it.

  • In defense of the dreaded Chinee: What's more humane than beheading? Why would anyone expect a headless, gutted creature to still be disputing it's physical disposition? The lower orders seem to rely less on brain than the various parts of the spinal cord. How do you adjust for that? Do you separate every fifth vertebrae?
