I visited that place in Jan 2007. I didn't for once believe that it was the grave of Abel (Habil).

BTW the people you see worshipping at the grave are Shi'ite Muslims. That's their trade mark: grave worshipping.

Why?
They've deviated from the true worship of monotheism, and believe certain saints/people can bring them closer to God or help them in answering their prayers.
Its worthwhile noting that all the converts to Islam become Sunni Muslims and you hardly ever hear of someone becoming a Shi'a Muslim. They are so distant from the original teachings of Islam, that one often wonders how they ever become so emroiled in paganistic rituals that contradict the Islamic faith.

Abel was the son of Adam, the first human being on earth......supposedly. HE was murdered by his brother Cain....supposedly. So, he would have been the first human death....supposedly.

Bwahaha! Attracting people to the supposed site of the Cain/Able myth is about as funny as thousands gathering to see Jesus Toast.
WTF is wrong with you retards!?
The world's oldest grave has almost certainly NOT been discovered.
There is evidence of Neanderthal burials at various sites including Shanidar in Iraq, Kebara Cave in Israel and Krapina in Croatia. These sites are at least 60,000 years old.

I like how any mound of dirt HAS to be a famous guy from the bible, just like every hypnotized person, when asked about a past life, all are napoleon or Joan of arc.

Which is hilarious considering we've been domesticating dogs since about 13,000BCE.
