In May 1992, four arab terrorists swam from Jordan to Eilat, Israel's southern resort city, with the intention of carrying out a mass terrorist attack against the local population.
Unfortunately, even though two of the terrorists drowned and a third was eliminated, they managed to murder one civilian during their assault.

The 4th terrorist, Muayyad Hijja, was captured and given two life sentences.
On Aug. 19, 2012, Palestinian Authority TV has decided to honor the imprisoned murderer by visiting his home and interviewing his relatives.
