A storm that produced a tornado in southern Kansas and later a tornado warning in Osage County was caught by storm chasers, who suffered a broken windshield that was also caught on tape.
The storm was in Sumner County, which is just south of Wichita. The hail was so large that one as big as a baseball broke the windshield and mirror on the storm chaser's car.
Six inches of rain fell in that area during a 12-hour period and there were several tornadoes spotted, but no injuries are reported.
