    • @markymark69 I wouldn't say any one country really stands out any longer as a leader, many choose to co-operate in technology and the sciences. Great Britain now exports much of its knowledge in design and old technology to emerging economies, but you could look at BAE, BP, shell, geological research and surveying (especially oil), engineering, NHS, Armour and ARM computing, just a few things off the top of my head.

      But I like history, it's fascinating, so...

    • @CargeLock hmm im not so sure about the nhs part .the uk doesnt come in the top ten for healthcare systems although it is very good .engineering is hard to say because there are so many great engineering countrys now . bae is a great company and is huge but it is highly dependant on the usa allowing them to bid on defence contracts .shell and bp for sure are up there in the biggest oil companys .the public transport system is pretty impressive in the uk .
