  • I was recently arrested and assaulted in my town for taking pictures (I'm an amateur photographer). When the Police turned up I videoed them, they went nuts. I was thrown in a cell and was facing 5 charges in total. I knew I had done nothing wrong, so I fought it.
    After nearly 4 months of delays, confusion, fabricated charges in-order to help the prosecution barter their way out, I still stood firm.
    My video camera had been wiped, when eventually returned.

    • @Leon Jersey If you kept the flash card of your video camera there is a chance all the data can be recovered. Get a program called File Scavenger.

      There is nothing called wiped. Unless they actually used a forensic erase program (extremely unlikely) All the videos are still available.

      In addition "Leon Jersey" has good grounds for a civil suit for destruction of personal property and/or a criminal complaint for obstruction of justice.

      I was videoing with my iPod, my DSLR dosen't do video.
      When the charges were dropped, the Judge ordered the Police to return my property- they refused to do so for 8 days! As an amateur photog I do use recovery software, but to no avail, they did a proper job. There are witnesses though who seen me filming and the 'assault' on me.
      Where I live there is no independent Police commission- they do what they want.

  • Not awesome, not magic, not even legal. Just basic sovereign citizen movement rhetoric. These guys are notorious for filing bogus motions and petitions before the court that have to be heard (as a matter of rule), but are never and I mean NEVER successful. They simply bog the courts down and cost tax payers additional money only to delay the inevitable.

  • I was half expecting a ceiling tile to fall and hit the Judge and DA based off the title and description. From what I heard, it basically sounded like that guy effectively made a case that all the judges could be considered to have a personal interest in the outcome of his case. Therefore, all of the judges are immediately disqualified due to suspicion of having imputed bias in the outcome of his case.   • To be honest, all he did was get approved for a 2 day extension. Looks like he had a little personal victory/revenge with the DA but he's not off the hook. I'd be interested what the outcome was because when you play games like this you're asking to have the book thrown at you if you lose. Its like he forgot the judge gets to use his/her own discretion based on how big of a jerk they think you are.

      I'm not sure if you missed it but they are "judges" by definition. They judge how much remorse you have for breaking the laws setup by society for society. As in, they look at you and decide *if* you know what you did was wrong or if they need to teach you that its wrong. If they "judge" that you show no signs of remorse they apply more pressure on you. Its really no different than teaching a misbehaving dog how to obey rules setup by all the occupants of the house More..
