May 2007 - A peaceful demonstration for worker and immigrant rights turned into a very terrifying experience brought on by the LAPD. Video shows crowd of protestors on Alvarado and Wilshire parted by police on motorcycles and bikes w/only the use of sirens. Police became extremely agressive with the resistant crowd and begin using their bikes to push back the crowd The LAPD's response to the crowd of demonstrators, which included many women and children, was unlawful, excessive, and highly disorganized. The LAPD did not give a previous warning, no announcement, nothing.
