This war must have really sucked for everybody in Europe. The only good thing i can imagine is that if you were an adult male in the homeland during the war, you'd be getting laid left and right (no other males around, you could look like a squid and still get yanked into a different woman's bed every night of the year).
Sorry, just a weird thought I have sometimes.
