My cat used to sit on the storm sewer on the road with the TTC bus barreling by every fifteen minutes. Occasionally he'd perk his ears up but otherwise he didn't give a shit.

I worked at a station in NW England. We had a station cat that used to like to lie on the rail and sunbathe. Passengers would be frantic about its safety but it could feel when a train was coming through the rails. It would just get up, wait till the train passed and get right back on the rail.
Just an anecdote. Nothing to do with this cat.
