Curry County release video footage on Wednesday of a June 27 fight at the Curry County Detention Center involving inmates Louis Guerra (in gray trousers) and Jaime Perez (in orange trousers).
Guerra faces charges in the April 2011, slaying of Jaime Perez's brother, Daniel Perez. Perez was one of the state's key witnesses in Guerra's murder trial set to begin July 16.
Guerra pleaded guilty on July 11 to murder and other felony charges. He faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
According to a Curry County Sheriff's office report, Guerra now faces aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and retaliation against a witness following the fight at the jail.
