Safe Mode: On
Think you're safe?

There have been a number of videos recently posted about cops shooting what are seemingly unarmed citizens, prompting cries of excessive force. I can agree with the emotions to a point, especially if it's true, but most people don't know what first responders are up against. In my hometown last month a parolee was caught with a shotgun hidden in a super soaker. That video brought a lot of varying opinions but the fact remains you never know when a crook is outgunning you. A simple face off could result in a bullet to the head. In 1988 I was shot in the abdomen by a bond violator with a double barrel .32 caliber derringer, old western movie gamblers type of gun he bought on the street for $20. I never saw the gun hidden in his hand and missed it in a cursory search. The next time you see a video where cops have shot someone with a cell phone in their hands, or a pen, or anything they point at an officer like it could be a firearm, I hope you remember this submission. If you can’t tell, they can’t tell, and it’s better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6.
