Black Mambas feeding in South Africa
I took this footage at a reptile park in Hoedspruit (Limpopo province), South Africa. Some people did not want to watch this as they felt it was a bit sick feeding the snakes live prey. However Mambas have to eat live prey and this is the only snake that you are legally allowed to feed live prey to in South Africa.

My thought exactly!
The fear the mice endured seems worse.
I think the guides just spin shit for the tourists.

Question is, is it natural to kill in order to survive.
The answer is quite obviously yes.
Second issue is: Is it natural to keep a snake in captivity and feed it live food bred for feeding. Quite possibly a degree of cruelty. But without animal captivity, we could not do such things as:
Research animal related health and breeding information to maintain species. A lot to be considered in this debate.
Animals don't eat tofu. though it is quite sick for people to take pleasure in watching ani More..

oh and what about those carrots and letus head people eat... hmm atleast meat had a fighting chance... plants ,... well they cant run hid or fight back. I say only eat that which you have to kill first .. eating live plants is cruel... just because you cant see there brains does not mean that they have no internal information network and that they cant feel pain. we just dont know how it works thats all.. leave the plants alone.. kill cows pigs snake and any thing else you want to eat but dont e More..
