There hasn't been strong evidence to support the idea that vitamins can combat cancer—until now. In the first rigorous, long-term study of multivitamins and their effect on cancer, older men who took daily vitamins lowered their risk of cancer by 8% compared to the ones that didn't take the vitamins. (caption on YT)
Participants included 14,641 male U.S. physicians ages 50 and over who were enrolled in the Physicians’ Health Study for 11 years. The men were randomly assigned to take a multivitamin ...or a placebo, and neither they nor the scientists were aware of their status. Overall, they were healthy; two-thirds exercised on a regular basis and only 4% were current smokers. The doctors’ mean age was 64. Nine percent (1,312) reported a history of cancer (excluding nonmelanoma skin cancer).

afraid i take this with a pinch of salt ehem..they seem to produce endless studies about the benefits of this or that only to refute them later down the road.believe it or not they are trying to regulate vitamins in europe.certain doses of vitamins will require a prescription.the second you hear regulation you know they are trying to redirect your euro/dollar.
business culture is a rogues gallery of scheming white collar twats manipulating the this`s and the that`s.

I agree that there are way too many junk science studies. However, in this one, the sample size is huge, the timeframe is very long, it's double-blind, and variables seem to be nullified. I'd trust this one because of the methodology was damn good.

good point,worth a pascal wager.
just to add, those much used fish oil tablets have had some considerable doubt cast over them recently but i refuse to believe a glass of red is not good for you.

Is it the Vitamin B17? There was some scientist going on about B17 decades ago, but other scientits scorned him for ir. He felt that cancer was a malnutrition problem, much like scurvy. And also that all cancers were essentially the same, caused by freak activity of estrogen when repairing damage. He would prescribe a cure of lots of Vitamin B17. Something about it turning into cyanide only withing cancer cells, while turning back into a harmless substance when exiting the cell. He figured that More..

There's no non-magical mechanism by which multivitamins might help you with anything other than producing expensive piss. Please don't be retarded...

It's a rather stupid attitude towards vitamins. We know we must have our vitamins. The pills contain vitamins. That is clear as day. Why do people take vitamins? To ensure that they get all their vitamins. If they do not get their vitamins through their diet, they make up for it with supplements. If one knows that one gets all one's vitamins through one's diet, one does not take supplements, because there is no need.
With your attitude, you make as well say that there is no More..

@wellybub You don't need to eat fruits and vegetables. They are expensive piss too. Being a vegetarian in general might make your heart slightly healthier in the long term, if you don't choose your meat well.
I'm not even sure if the vitamins in pills do anything at all - you can OD 10,000%+ on all of them with no negative side-effects. As a corollary, that must mean that they have no positive benefit.

Who is going to have a heart attack from hardening/clogged arteries at age 50? This guy!^^^ But, first a buildup of uric acid crystals in your body giving you joint pains like arthritis and bad skin, smelly B.O. etc. Not saying meat is bad but, excess such as a main diet, not so great. Eat alkaline rich foods!
