Taliban torch six NATO fuel tankers in southwest Afghanistan
The Taliban Mujahideen have set fire to a convoy of NATO tankers carrying fuel for US-led
foreign forces in southwestern Afghanistan.
Afghan officials said the Mujahideen destroyed at least six fuel
tankers in an ambush in Dilaram district of Nimruz province late on
Monday.
This is while the Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed that
the Mujahideen destroyed nine tankers along with seven escorting
vehicles.

Mujahideen killed six policemen and two civilians ( intelligence official in civilian dress ) in southern
Afghanistan in a pair of attacks, including an ambush on a checkpoint
after Mujahideen allegedly poisoned the officers manning the outpost .

At-least one nato soldier DEAD in afghanistan
Another US-led soldier serving with the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) has been killed in eastern Afghanistan.
ISAF said in a Tuesday statement that the trooper “died as a result
of a non-battle related injury in eastern Afghanistan today."
The alliance did not reveal the nationality of the soldier or the exact location of the incident.

You continue to destroy your enemies supply routes, and slowly you will strangle all of their equipment. You control these roads/passages and you win the war in Afghanistan.
The Taliban are fighting using Guerrilla tactics and are being successful, there is no way for a country to win. You've seen the losses by Britain, USSR, now America. Afghanistan is naturally a "fortress" with all the mountainous area.

No, it's called Guerrilla warfare and is implemented when going up against a more formal army.
The, "Sons of Liberty" deliberately engaged the British forces using these tactics in the early forming of America.

Against a larger force, with more advancement in weapons and technology how did you want to fight? Hopefully NOT face to face, as you will be obliterated.
George Washington tried to go face to face against Charles Cornwallis and look what ended up happening. The early Americans were beaten time after time by the British Red Coats.
Guerrilla warfare will win you battles when you're at a disadvantage. It might be the "gentleman" fight, but you'll live to fight another More..

Good to see the resistance is still hammering the invaders regularly and successfully.
Attacking US/NATO supply convoys is a good tactic that will drive up the cost of the war, this in turn will put public pressure on the US military to leave Afghanistan.
Good post by the way,it's always interesting to see how the Taliban are fighting the occupiers.
