  • the sequence in which the front and rear legs hit the ground is fascinating to me. i once tried to figure it out watching my dog walk, now i see it clearly. can dogs be right or left pawed like right and left handed?

    In a complete cycle they are airborne twice: once when their 4 paws are under their body and once when their paws are extended forward and back.
    And the order in which they hit the ground is left-right in front and right-left in back. It makes a clockwise order that can repeat ad infinitum or until Fido is dog-tired.
