  • Um.... the consitution and Bill of rights are rooted in rights given to us from "God"...not the gov't. The Bill of rights was written to PROTECT THOSE RIGHTS FROM GOV'T.

    This is the end result and mindset of those who simply lack the knowledge of history. And they almost hit the point... but they missed

    If you rely on the gov't to "give" you rights, that same gov't can just as easily take them away.

Many people have died fighting for these rights which have finally passed with the majority or a well educated official(president for example). Saying that it comes for god is like spitting all these great people in time that fought for freedom and the weak in the face. We, people, humans, community and strong individuals did this

    • @Shady-Cadence Actually, it's quite telling that they used the term "creator" rather than "God" - it indicates a specific intent not to say "God." It also indicates that the founding fathers were open-minded, instead of bible-thumping zealots.
