The Irish travellers of the illegal Dale Farm site will have to start travelling

Police moved onto the illegal Dale Farm site early on Wednesday 19th October, to prepare the way for bailiffs to begin evicting the Irish travellers who have been resident there for ten years.

Basildon council has spent a small fortune of taxpayer's cash fighting the legal battle to evict them.
The legal battle came to an end in the High Court on October 17th.

Many local residents said they would also ignore planning laws if the site was not cleared.
