Iraq towns being claimed back from al Qaeda - 24 Jan 08 **AlJazeera**
in Iraq, US and Iraqi troops have been slowly reclaiming towns, which were until now under Al Qaeda control. Operation Phantom Phoenix is pushing fighters out of their bases and bringing aid in to support villagers who'd been previously living in fear.
