  • If you have never done it you would never understand it. Most people believe meat is born on styrofoam trays and wrapped in plastic when it makes to to the store.

Animals like this one are why you go out there and sit in the cold every year. Very rarely do you just throw a stand in a tree and whammo you land a trophy animal. Some times lifetimes pass, most of the time seasons go by, sometimes only weeks, if you're good or lucky only days of absolutely nothing.

Regardless it takes planning, pr More..

    • @USA Citizen someone want to confirm this for me. I count somewhere around 14 or 15 points, I take back what I said... If they are all unbroken this is definitely a mountable animal.

    • @USA Citizen i think dingled is obviously passionate about animals as i am...

My points i try make are that there are good hunters and bad hunters. Hunting should not be a sport and if you cant take an animal swiftly and humanely you have no right to take it at all.

Yes there is a food chain but theres also a choice to make sure animals atent mistreated when it comes to feeding yourself or others.

Luckily you like in a country where you wont starve afterall its not afica now is it?

    • @luldayze See this is what you huggers DO NOT GET! 99.99999% of bow hunters especially don't go out there kill an animal cut it's fucking head off and leave the rest. I know you love to paint hunters as otherwise and it's what pisses me off about you types.

This guys family won't have to buy meat for a while and they probably could use the financial break. If he puts down a few does on top of that, they won't need to for half a year if they do it right. The majority of the actual hunters in thi More..

  • Why should I remember this when I vote in the election? Is the deer a metaphor for the United States Constitution while Barack Hussein Obama occupies the White House?

  • Well, that was one nice buck and I'd be pretty excited as well. So tell me Dingle as per your statement...Where does each candidate stand on this subject and why does it matter? Im not voting based on who hunts and who doesnt. Please tell us all with a simple reply. Where does Obama stand on hunting and where does Romney stand on it? Not that it matters but you brought it up so tell us. Enquiring minds want to know.I'm willing to bet you cant tell me.Just a little insider info as well for everybod More..

  • Because shooting something that has led a natural life is so much more morally wrong than killing a factory-farmed animal with ten feet of living space if they're lucky...

    [/sarcasm]

I hunt because I enjoy it, and I know where the meat comes from.

    • @xXDanksterXx Must have been too weak to pull a real bow back. Maybe it was a Wal-Mart youth bow?

    • @Disturbed Maybe it was a stick bow (longbow), or he busted through a bone and stuck in another on the other side. It happens. I hit a shoulderblade at 15 yards and it didn't penetrate, with a 65 lb bow and a carbon arrow

    • @xXDanksterXx I thought that too. And look at the angle. He had to be in an 18-20 foot stand and only 15-18 yards away. But it also seems the broadhead stopped right in or near the heart so it did not run far. Nice kill. He's probably only drawing 50# and hit a rib solid on entry. ( Rut is on here where I live in 3 more weeks - I am so pumped up.)

    • @trialdog
The hit was behind the shoulder and below the spine, only obstruction is the ribs, and as hunters know a good draw and a half decent arrow shreds ribs like they are rubber. Only excuse is if arrow clipped something on the way to the buck.

  • Big deal. He's a hunter excited that he actually got something, after having stalked it, shot it with a bow (not easy, probably took him an entire day of hiking) and then tracked it down and found it. Same reaction as a fisherman who just reeled in "the big one" or a nerd who just solved his first Rubik's Cube.

  • LOL its like watching a kid waking up on christmas morning.I guess hes over excited, maybe its his first deer or something. I remember killing my first squierl, it was kind of similar, but i didnt sound like i busted a nut in my pants. For those that look down on people who hunt. OMG poor animal. STFU! Go look at how a hotdog or a burger is made. The first process is to mass slaughter the animals to get the meat. Go watch videos of how the animals are slaughtered so you can eat your burger or ho More..

  • I remember my first deer. Blasted the thing at 200 yards with a muzzle loader (I had 1 shot). I remember walking up to it and thinking "Now I've got to do work." I processed the animal 100% myself from field dressing to skinning it to butchering the meat into a variety of cuts and sausage. I also tanned the hide used it to make a Daniel Boone-type shooting bag to accompany my rifle. I would like to think that I was a responsible hunter. • So whats the big deal here ? He killed a nice buck, that he will most likely eat ! Even if he dosn't eat it and only mounts the head, the deer will still be processed and fed to people or available for people to purchase. The deer that the state kills to keep disease out of the game usually goes to feed the homeless. So get over this shit you pussy !
